Reactions from Thursday's Debacle (Lakers 100, Magic 75)

Can someone answer me one question? Why does Kobe keep making that one face after he makes a great play, you know the one where his bottom teeth jut out like he has a massive underbite? Am I the only one that notices this? He's been doing it for about the last 4 games and it almost broke my cable box. I'm just saying...

Ok, other than that I don't have anything really relevant to say about what happened last night, Orlando got their tails whipped thoroughly. As my good friend JAG says, you live by the 3, you die by the 3. They died and had a slow death last night. Stan Van Gundy made a good point though during the game, they can't play any worse and at the end of the day its only one loss. Can Orlando play any worse? Can L.A. play any better? I'm not sure I can answer any of those questions. However, I have one I can ask right now...

WHERE ARE YOU MAGIC FANS? WHERE ARE YOUR COMMENTS?

LMAO

Sometimes I do things just to amuse myself, I apologize.

Here are a couple of other viewpoints on L.A.'s thrashing of Orlando:

The Hoop Doctors - Exclusive NBA Finals Interview with Rashard Lewis

WTF Moments - F*ck Kobe, Go Magic!

Mr. Factoid - Lil' Wayne Endorses Kobe Bryant

Black Sports Online - Don't Panic Magic!

Oh yeah, if you haven't seen the new Dwight Howard Vitamin Water commercial then check it out here.

Game 2 is on Sunday (yes, Sunday) so who's gonna win?

Oh yes, I told you the massive amount of Kobe Bryant cock-sucking from the media, fans, and others (you may even join the party, I don't know) is going to be on another level. Last night certainly didn't help.

I truly despise the Lakers, but there's no stopping destiny this season.

Jameer toughed it out, but I'm not sure that was a good thing last night.

That's a good point about Jameer, it seems like Rafer was able to get easier shots for his teammates where Jameer couldn't really find the flow of the offense, maybe that'll change but Skip had been doing a great job.

Yeah man, and check out the +/-: Jameer -19, Skip -6. When he Rafer came out in the 2nd quarter, the Magic were winning. Just saying.

I say play Jameer a little less and they shouldn't forget about Anthony Johnson. He always hit some timely 3's againts Cleveland. Normally Orlando shoots about 40% from 3 point range but they were horrible last night. All they need to do is steal one game in LA and they could do it on Sunday. When Detroit beat LA 4-1, they lost game 1 too, right?

Im pretty sure Dwight Howard channeled the spirit of "Coming to America"'s RANDY WATSON...!! during that commercial

I hate to say this... but unless Kobe breaks his leg and Phil Jackson pokes his eye with a fork.. The Magic won't win.

This should've been the a Laker - Cavs series.

As much as it hurts to say it, yeah, we got killed last night.
But, in all honesty, people need to cut them a little bit of slack. It's the first time we've been to the Finals for 14 years. The first game is in L.A., surrounded by media and the other people who don't believe they can beat the Lakers.
I'm glad we lost the first game. I think it gave the Magic the chance to get rid of any nervous feelings and/or doubts they had going into this (although they really shouldn't, they're a great team and they need to believe in themselves in order to make this possible).
So, whatever. The Magic lost the first game. The Lakers played well. But that doesn't mean shit as far as I'm concerned. There's still 6 left, it's fair game.

It was a straight woodshed @ss whuppin. Maybe that will be the correction the Magic need.

One games does not a Finals make. I'm still riding with the Magic. All they need is to steal some games at Staples.

Less Nelson more Skip, I told my boy that Nelson would disrupt the flow and sure enough he did.

    Yes, the series is OVER.

I'm saying this as neither a Magic fan nor a Laker fan; I'm saying this as a sports fan.

Really, this series was over the day Odom decided to give up skittles.

Bryant, Odom, AND Gasol? Naw, homie, the series is over.

I'm not a Kobe fan either, but any true basketball fan has to respect his desire and work ethic. Most of the greats have been arrogant SOB's (Bird, Magic, Michael, Wilt, Russell, etc.). Kobe just doesn't try very hard to hide it from the media.
