I've always been a US National Team and World Cup Soccer fan... I think this will be a turning point for our national team.

Bradley found a great mix of players that can do some damage next summer in South Africa. Altidore is raw and looks scary when he's on. Davies has the speed and can burn you at any moment, Donovan has the poise and Dempsey is your junkyard dog. This team finally has a swagger it's never had...

WHen I came home only to find us up 2-0 on Brazil I couldnt believe it... but I;m not that disappointed that we lost cuz I know this team is on the right track. Dont forget Michael Bradley was out in the finals, that was a huge loss...

First and foremost, you're a GOONER, so anything you say in your blogs can easily be dismissive b/c you like a garbage side!

Second, Thierry Henry is a FRENCH International, NOT Dutch. You mi amigo just committed a GOONER CARDINAL SIN! LMAO!

Okay, enough jokes and banter aside, I just wanna give you props for this blog entry. I think a display like that, win or lose, just shows the USMNT's progression in becoming a world football power and placed everybody on notice that not only we can compete with the big boys(Brazil) but we can also BEAT them as well(Spain).

I started the afternoon watching the Reds game, but stopped flipping back in forth as soon as the US was on the board! Great article! The World Cup is always a must watch for me, but I admit, I don't follow soccer normally, outside of what sportcenter has to offer. I get geared up when the US and Mexico square off, and for the US against a world power. South Africa will be the place to be next year!

P.S. Don't forget Davies! But Dempsey and Landon D are awesome!

I fully believe if they didn't give up that first goal so early the US would have won that game, but that first goal opened those gates and the rest was history.

Yesterday's game was definitely huge for US soccer. So many people who don't watch soccer at all (I never watch American soccer) watched yesterday's game, and were generally into it. I don't know how long this excitement will last, but I do know there were a lot of fans created after yesterday.

Not a big soccer fan, but I did watch the game yesterday and I enjoyed it. I dunno if this means I'll continue to follow or not, but it was definitely a change of pace for me. The USA is definitely respected now after that match.
