If Vince plays like he did last season for the Nets, then the Magic will certainly be an improved team. He posted a PER of 19.35 last season compared to 14.82 for Turkoglu. In fact, Turkoglu has never posted a PER higher than 17.66, while Vince's lowest PER was 18.93. So even in Vince's worst season he is an upgrade over Hedo Turkoglu.

In the playoffs, Hedo's PER was only 13.24, so he was even worse. However...Hedo hits big shots and Vince has never been that clutch in the playoffs...of course having Vince might mean they have a big enough lead at the end of games that they won't need a GW shot.

#6)Portland wouldn't win shit with Hedo. He's good but as I showed above he's not THAT good and I think Toronto is making a huge mistake giving him 5 years. I bet he has 2 decent seasons at best with the Raptors. Plus, how horrible is TOR gonna be on D? Bosh, Bargnani, Hedo, Calderon...that's one slow and soft lineup.

#7) This move was made with the Celtics and Paul Pierce in mind. Pierce struggled big time against Artest in the past and he Pierce usually kills the Lakers. I also think Artest is more consistent on offense then Ariza....Plus this makes a potential Lakers/Celtics series even better with Ron-Ron, KG, Sheed, Kobe, and Pierce all going at it.

#8) I really like San Antonio's moves...If they stay healthy I'd be shocked to not see them in the West Finals against the Lakers.

Gotta comment on some of the 12. The Lakers getting Ron was necessary. It looks like LA/Boston in the Finals (if the Celts can creak their way through the season). Especially since getting Shaq doesn't fix Cleveland's biggest problem, defending the pick and roll. Shaq wouldn't come out and defend it when he was young, he surely won't now at 37. There is definitely a tier system in the Association, and the top tier (LAL, BOS, CLE, SAS, ORL) got better. The mid tiers (ATL, DAL, DEN, CHI, POR, TOR) either stayed pat or did nothing to put them in the top tier. The bottom tier almost all took major steps back. The Clips may have improved a little (they couldn't get much worse). WHAT is Minnesota doing? The Thunder got a little better. Not much else. Still, next year is gonna be fun.

Great post Ed.. Glad you brought back "Unsportsmanlike Conduct" definitely a personal fave of mine.. It's crazy that "The Fed" has won all those titles and still isn't even in consideration for being the GOAT of Tennis (not even in his decade) lol.. Sheed to the C's is a great move, I definitely think they're better than Cleveland, I see Boston/Orlando in the conference finals this season.. But Ron to LAL makes all other offseason moves irrelevant (sorry, had to say it) lol.. We'll talk about the ATL trip.. Air McNair situation? Man, I don't even know what to say.. He was a legend man, truly solidified the way that was paved for Black QB's but all the reports that are comin out just sadden me.. Married with 4 kids but you're messin around with a 20 YR OLD Iranian chick? Blows my mind.. She wasn't even that cute (not that that matters) but damn Steve.. Buyin cars for kids in your name?
