Very good point Ed. Rumor now has it that some high-ups in the Eagles brass want to trade McNabb, but Andy Reid absolutely has no desire to get rid of Donny. Me? I'd keep them both, see how the season played out, and if it's clear the Donovan era is over, re-sign Kolb. Ed, the fact that you didn't list the Eagles as another destination for Julius Peppers is completely and utterly ridiculous. They have exactly one player who provides any sort of pass rush on that line. Peppers would immediately make a mediocre D-line into one of the best in the league, and all the attention a Peppers/Cole duo would command means less pressure on the secondary, especially the safety position, and an underwhelming linebacking corps. Plus, rumor has it if the Bears don't strike a deal, he's heading to Philadelphia right afterward. The Patriots aren't good enough everywhere else defensively anyway, and they need to worry about keeping Wilfork first.
