I know one thing - it takes a real Dallas Cowboy fan to admit it. I hardly believe Dallas to be America's Team anymore, either. I think it comes from losing and the fact that they haven't possessed any "sweetheart players" in awhile now. Romo had began his climb towards that household name, but his playoff failures are king. And Terrell Owens ran his mouth to much and won too little in the process.

I'm not saying I had bandwagon in my heart when I became a Cowboy's fan, but I've been with them ever since. Thru over a decade of bad seasons, I'm still a fan. So that point doesn't matter. Plus at the time, I lived in upstate NY, so I guess I should have liked the Bills? You Eagle fans just keep playing yourselves, they are never going to win. Get over it, go throw rocks at Santa, lol. Being America's Team has nothing to do with wins and losses. It has everything to do with the largest fan base and the highest ratings every time they're on TV. Gotta love what the Yankees have done, but who the hell was watching? Nobody - compared to the viewers the Cowboys pull in. America's Team means a team has a charisma about it that no one can ignore. Either you love them or you hate them, but one thing is for sure -- you give a damn! That's America's Team. That's the Dallas Cowboys.

@ Stank - maaan, the Steelers and Pats can make a case. The Saints can make a case as well. If the Eagles fanbase wasn't so damn crazy, they could make a case, too.

J. McFly, with all due respect, you "Cowboy fans" in Philadelphia are unbearable. I'm not saying you aren't a swell guy and a great fan, but the fact that you've "Never been to Dallas or Texas in my life but always loved the Boys" sums up your ilk here in Philly.

I think the Cowboys will remain America's team so long as they break every cable TV record every time they're on.

I live in the DC area and there are almost as many people wearing Cowboys gear and sporting the star on their car as there are Redskins fans. And the 'Skins have a rabid fanbase.

The Steelers are the only other team with anything like our national following. Everyone else is a regional team.

Sorry Ken, I'm still drinking the Kool Aid and it taste good. I've been a Cowboy fan since I started watching football almost 17 years or so ago. Never been to Dallas or Texas in my life but always loved the Boys. And there are plenty of cowboys fans on the East Coast, including the Philly area where I'm from. Thats what makes it Americas Team, it's not justthe wins (we do need some tho).
