If I could live in Oakland for one week during football season...

...I mean, seriously. How did they fall so far, so fast? I mean, we all know Uncle Al is who he is, but is it really all him??? Good lord, they are cursed. JAG's right; the league is better off when the Raiders are good. I get no satisfaction from seeing them suffer. They're coming here for Thanksgiving, so, if nothing else, I'll get to chop it up with plenty of folks from The Black Hole.

I'm old enough to remember the great Raider teams of the 70's. The Emmitt, Irvin and Troy Cowboys came close, but no one has ever matched their combination of talent, ferociousness and total disregard for society's rules or anything else that had nothing to do with winning football games. The fact that the hell's angels were afraid of them and the Raiders' ran them out of a bar near training camp tells you all you need to know.

The NFL is a little more dull without the Raiders being a factor. I hope they get it together.

You hit the nail on the head. It begins and ends with Al Davis. Unless someone is able to purchase the team through deception and subterfuge, the fate of the Raiders hinges on Mr. Davis' health.
